Qixiang (Group) Company was founded in 1986, and is a Taiwan-based multinational enterprise specializing in the production and operation of "Golden Wheel" industrial sewing machines. With the growing international demand for "Golden Wheel" industrial sewing machines and the company's own need to optimize its business structure, in 1995 the company selected a site in the Jinqiao Export Processing Zone of Pudong New Area, and established Qixiang Sewing Machine (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The company covers a total land area of 80 mu (approximately 53,333 square meters), with a total building area of 66,000 square meters. By the end of December 2011, the company had 1,833 employees, a total output of 103,785 units, an industrial output value (RMB) of 435.25 million yuan, and an operating income (RMB) of 424.16 million yuan. On January 18, 2012, the total investment was USD 67.2 million, and the registered capital was USD 29.5 million.

Qixiang Company has spared no expense in making substantial investments, successively introducing advanced German vacuum furnaces for titanium coating, diamond coating, and ceramic coating, as well as various new Japanese computer-controlled fully automatic equipment and advanced technologies. It has also introduced internationally advanced electrostatic powder coating lines and Japanese carbonitriding heat treatment sealed furnaces. The company has achieved the entire processing flow from blank or raw material cutting and machining, to heat treatment surface fine processing, precision grinding, titanium coating and film coating processing, and final assembly of complete machines. Currently, Qixiang Company has 679 sets/units of various precision machining main equipment, including 206 imported CNC machining centers (vertical and horizontal), 3 fully automatic spraying lines, 247 various precision CNC grinding machines, 2 state-of-the-art imported vacuum furnaces for film coating, 1 imported fully automatic heat treatment furnace, 2 imported fully automatic computer-controlled laser cutting machines, 2 imported CNC deep-hole drilling machines, 26 imported engraving machines, and 36 assembly lines. In addition, the company has established a professional R&D center in Matsue, Japan, bringing together industry elites in sewing machinery, and has successively developed various high-quality industrial sewing machines with advanced technology. This has integrated Qixiang Company into a cross-border, cross-regional business structure that is incorporated into the international operating system.

On September 6, 2011, the Ninth Member Representative Conference of the China Sewing Machinery Association was held in Shanghai. Through a secret ballot by all members, the Ninth Council was elected, and all council members unanimously elected Mr. Chen Manxiong of Qixiang Company as Vice Chairman of the China Sewing Machinery Association. Since then, Mr. Chen Manxiong has made a historic and remarkable contribution to the development of the sewing machinery industry.

After more than 20 years of unremitting efforts, Qixiang Company has enhanced and promoted the world-renowned brand "Golden Wheel" in categories including clothing, bags, shoes, hats, automobile seats, and sofas, with over 1,000 related machine models. The establishment of Qixiang's European branch marks that the marketing network for Golden Wheel and Vari-o-Matic products has covered all continents, facilitating global users in purchasing Qixiang products and providing technical support services. This has laid a solid foundation for the grand goal of truly making Golden Wheel and Vari-o-Matic sewing machines renowned worldwide.

Qixiang Company (Cheesiang Industrial Co., Ltd.) has obtained the transferred brand product manufacturing and marketing rights and all intellectual property rights from Japan's leading multi-needle machine manufacturer, Vari-o-Matic Corporation (Aoyagi Company). Since the transfer date, Aoyagi Company has ceased manufacturing and marketing "Vari-o-Matic" brand sewing machines and has transferred the "Vari-o-Matic" trademark and all product intellectual property rights to Qixiang Company. Therefore, Qixiang Company not only enjoys the "Golden Wheel" premium brand but also owns the worldwide production and operation rights and all intellectual property of the world-renowned "Vari-o-Matic" brand products.

For more diversified business operations, Qixiang Company has also invested in the production of "Seven Blessings" brand high-quality rotary hooks and "Seven Blessings" brand microcomputer thread feeding devices, and cooperates with Japan's Asahi Company to establish Asahi (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong, specializing in export business of related products.
