太仓制药厂创建于1958年，现新厂区建于太仓市城厢镇电站村，204国道边，离苏昆太高速出口200米。毗邻上海、苏州，水陆交通方便。新厂区按国家GMP规范要求建造有7套GMP标准的原料药精烘包车间，每套年生产能力大于100吨，并建造了GMP规范要求的年产4.5亿片制剂的片剂车间，本厂于2004年5月份通过GMP达标验收，2009年4月通过GMP换证验收。本厂是江苏省高新技术企业，系江苏省药监局下属的专业药厂，并通过了ISO9002的认证。

主要生产氨甲环酸，4-(4-氨基苯磺酰胺基)-5-甲氧基-6-氯嘧啶，周效磺胺，磷酸伯氨喹。注册商标为太药牌，新厂区占地面积46690平方米，建筑面积25300平方米，现有固定资产4300万元(包括土地)，主要设备160多台套，现有职工121名，各类技术人员49名，其中中高级以上职称36名。
