本场长期于省研究所，国家海洋叁所为合作伙伴，作为国家商务部对外水产行业的实习基地，每年接待30多个国内外水产学员学习与研发，积累了较丰富的实践经验和国外的水产动态。在优越的环境资源与信息资源基础上，本场引进美国塞班南美白对虾，从而研发、繁育优质苗种。
