乐平精神病医院是一所经江西省卫计委（原江西省卫生厅）批准成立的二级精神病专科医院。占地约40亩，建筑面积13000平方米。现有职工200余人，其中医护人员180多人，中、高级职称26人，副高以上职称6人。其中门诊部设有：精神科普通门诊与专家门诊、神经内科、心理咨询专家门诊、评残与司法鉴定科、重免救治办、药房等；住院部开设了：5个精神专科病区、心理科陪护病房和康复科等。常年在院住院患者达500多人。
