Job Title: Basestocks, Synthetics & Intermediates Technology Process Developer
Job Location: Dayawan Technology Center, Huizhou, China
What role you will play in our team
- As a member of Basestocks, Synthetics & Intermediates Technology group, dedicated to providing Technology solutions to support ExxonMobil’s Performance Olefins & Derivatives business objectives. You will be aligning collaborating with other EM Technologyganizations to develop new products provide support fnew applications, to develop improved new technology advancements that add value to the corporation to support troubleshooting at manufacturing sites around the world.
- Key interfaces include Research & Development, Process Improve, plant technical personnel, lab pilot plant operations, Business/Quality teams, Customer & Application Development teams.
- Process technologies with deep capability include Higher olefins (oligomerization) Oxo (hydroformylation aldehyde hydrogenation).
What you will do
- Translate strategic business drivers technology opportunities that reduce cost via advantaged feed lower cost process and/economically produce new higher value products
- Lead/support programs projects consisting of new improved process technology in collaboration with Product Development Research & Development
- Advise help troubleshoot complex manufacturing technical problems as experts in process chemistry
- Planning, coordinating timely execution of lab pilot plant experiments fprogram manufacturing support activities
- Translate lab pilot plant results process models that are used to scale-up to commercial scale
- Develop improve process simulations to aid in troubleshooting design of new/retrofitted facilities
- Design revamp lab pilot plant equipment facilities inder to gain insight chemistry engineering fundamentals relevant to programs support acuities
- Participate in innovation ideation to help maintain a robust technology pipeline supporting business needs
- Monitscientific advancement internal external literature (including patents) to assess new opportunities threats
- Develop (screen available) new catalyst fprocess improvements (including fnew feedstock) and/maintain security of supply
- Participate in Technology Network meetings follow-up as member
- Share process chemistry experts with site contracts through Networks
About you
- MSc preferably PhD in Chemical Engineering Chemistry with typical focus area on catalysis, lab-scale pilot unit operations process design
- Process Engineering knowledge
- Good understanding of physical chemical analytical techniques
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Strong analytical, communication collaboration skills
- Experience with process modeling simulation software (Aspen PRO/II)
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams (Technical, Operations, Technology), to acquire knowledge on manufacturing processes, pilot plant operations product application requirements to guide development efforts
