State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company

State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of State Grid Corporation of China, tracing its origins back to the Jingshi Huashang Electric Light Co., Ltd. founded in 1905. Through a century of development and accumulation, it has now grown into a super-large modern electric power enterprise.
Our company is primarily responsible for the planning, construction, operation, and management of the power grid within the 16,400 square kilometers of Beijing, as well as the power supply services for 7.17 million electricity customers. At the same time, it shoulders the glorious mission of ensuring safe power supply for the central party and government agencies, major political activities, and urban operation. It plays a significant role in safeguarding the capital's energy security, serving economic and social development, and improving the living standards of residents.
Currently, the company's headquarters has 23 functional management departments, and oversees 40 grassroots units, including 16 direct power supply companies such as the urban district company, 13 other units such as maintenance and repair branches, and 11 industrial units at the company level.
