晦翁岩位于长乐市潭头镇二刘村（为八闽刘氏的发源地）龙峰山上。宋庆元元年（1195年），朱熹为避伪学之禁寓居于此，因朱熹号晦翁，故得名。是朱熹与里人刘砥、刘砺兄弟筑室讲学处。晦翁岩又叫龙峰岩、二刘岩、三贤祠、朱子岩、三宝岩，至今已有800多年历史，是一处集朱子文化、郑和航海文化、长乐人文文化于一体的旅游胜地。“吴航城外晦翁岩，虎踞龙蹯景**奇”。前几年晦翁岩旅游景点载入了《福建名胜词典》，有“长乐小武夷”美誉。
