This company is a subsidiary invested by KSR International Co. of Canada in China, mainly engaged in the R&D, design, production, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales service of automotive pedal molds, brake pedals, accelerator pedals, clutch pedals, and door lock mechanism assemblies. The former Kaisile (KSR) Auto Parts (Changshu) Co., Ltd. was established on May 12, 2005. In May 2011, the company was re-established in Shanghai and renamed as Kaishile (Shanghai) Automotive Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. The production plant was also moved to Kunshan as a branch.

KSR International Co. of Canada is one of the world's largest pedal suppliers, with strong R&D, design, and production capabilities in the pedal industry. Currently, its main customers include Ford, GM, Mazda, Daimler Chrysler, Jaguar, Hyundai/Kia, Nissan, and other automotive companies. KSR International has factories in its Canadian headquarters, the United States, the Czech Republic, Brazil, South Korea, Mexico, China, and other countries and regions. It also has sales and technical centers at its Canadian headquarters, the United States, Brazil, Europe (UK), and Japan, as well as joint venture factories in Mexico, Turkey, India, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. KSR produces up to 15 million pedals globally each year (including fixed and adjustable automotive pedals), including 2 million adjustable pedals and 3 million electronic accelerator pedals annually.

Currently, KSR China has initially established supporting relationships with automotive OEMs such as Nanjing Ford and Nanjing Rover. In response to the new Chinese project, the company is investing in advanced welding, assembly, testing, and production processes, as well as advanced CNC machining centers, to achieve an annual production capacity of 1 million pedals and 1,000 sets of molds, fixtures, and gauges per year.
