Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. is the parent company of NICHIYU Forklift (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Established in 1937, Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. is a large-scale and historically renowned manufacturer of electric forklifts in Japan. The first electric forklift in Japan was trial-produced by this company, and counterbalanced electric forklifts, reach trucks, and automated guided electric forklifts were also developed and put into production by this company. It can be said that Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. represents the development history of Japan's electric forklift industry. Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. enjoys a very high reputation in Japan. With high quality and a nationwide after-sales service network, it has won the trust of a wide range of customers, with an annual production capacity of 14,000 units. The subsidiaries and agents of Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. are spread all over the world, including China, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia in Asia, as well as the United Kingdom, France, and the Netherlands in Europe. Since the first NICHIYU electric forklift entered the Chinese market in 1965, the "NICHIYU" brand has gained the trust of a large number of Chinese users. According to the ranking of the world's top 20 forklift manufacturers published by the U.S. magazine "Modern Materials Handling" in 2014, Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. ranked among the top 6 in sales worldwide, and ranked top 3 in the world specifically for electric forklifts, holding approximately over 50% of the market share in Japan's electric forklift market and nearly 20% of the market share among imported electric forklift brands in China.

In March 2016, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. jointly invested to fully acquire the Japanese UniCarriers Forklift Group, comprehensively integrating the global forklift market. Currently, Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. has become the world's third-largest forklift manufacturer.

Development of NICHIYU in China:

To expand its business development in China, produce more electric forklifts that meet the requirements of Chinese customers, and better contribute to the development of China's logistics industry:
In 1995, Mitsubishi NICHIYU Forklift Co., Ltd. established a representative office in Shanghai;
In 1997, Shanghai NICHIYU Forklift Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was established, importing forklift parts from the Japanese parent company for assembly and production of complete electric forklifts;
In 1998, NICHIYU Forklift (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established, responsible for the sales and after-sales service of NICHIYU products in the central and eastern regions of China;
In 2003, NICHIYU Forklift (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was established, responsible for the sales and after-sales service of NICHIYU products in the southern region of China;
In 2004, NICHIYU Forklift (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was established, responsible for the sales and after-sales service of NICHIYU products in the northern region of China; in the same year, NICHIYU Hong Kong Co., Ltd. was established, responsible for the import and export business of NICHIYU products in China;
In 2010, NICHIYU took the lead in establishing the first forklift overhaul factory in Shanghai within China's forklift industry;
In 2011, the three sales companies in China merged into NICHIYU Forklift (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., with four major regions: East China, Jiangsu-Anhui, North, and South;
In 2012, a Jiangsu-Anhui regional and the second forklift overhaul factory were established in Suzhou;
In 2013, forklift overhaul factories for the North and South regions were established in Beijing and Guangzhou, respectively; in the same year, the NICHIYU spare parts center was established in Shanghai, with a spare parts inventory of RMB 30 million;
In 2014, NICHIYU established the fifth overhaul factory in Dalian and the second in the North region;
In 2015, NICHIYU established the Central region in Wuhan and built the sixth overhaul factory. Since then, a new pattern has been formed, integrating sales and after-sales service across five major regions: East China, Jiangsu-Shandong, Central, North, and South, comprehensively covering all parts of China.
