国科嘉和基金成立于2011年，是由中国科学院控股有限公司（简称国科控股）作为基石投资人发起、联合国内多家大型企业集团共同成立的股权投资基金管理人，是国科控股直接管理的一级企业也是国科控股直属同时涵盖VC、PE的专业投资机构。核心6位管理团队成员人均拥有超12年私募股权投资经验，累计参与投资金额超过50亿人民币。总部设立在北京，并在上海、深圳都设有办公室。国科嘉和目前管理两支人民币创投基金、两支人民币并购基金、一支美元创投基金以及政府专项基金等多支基金，管理总金额达数百亿人民币。

国科控股是2002年4月由国务院批准成立的国资授权经营管理平台，中科院为投资人。截至2010年度总资产超过2000亿人民币，直接控股37个企业集团，管理683家院属两级企业，是18家上市公司的*终控制人。同时国科控股是中国国内主要投资VC/PE的成熟机构LP（有限合伙人），目前总计投资了14个中国知名的创业和私募股权投资基金，在中国创业投资领域具有丰富的资源和经验。
