Powertech Technology Inc. is a semiconductor packaging and testing company with a leading position in the industry. Founded in 1997, it provides customers with comprehensive back-end supply chain construction and full-service packaging and testing solutions, with its headquarters located in Taiwan, China. Its service scope covers wafer probing, packaging, testing, burn-in, and global shipment of finished products. Currently, Powertech Technology has over 12,000 employees and several advanced plants distributed across Taiwan, Suzhou, Xi'an, and Singapore. In December 2014, Powertech Technology Inc. partnered with Fortune 500 company Micron Technology, officially signing an agreement to jointly invest $250 million to establish a large-scale chip packaging plant in Xi'an High-tech Zone. The company was named Powertech Semiconductor (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. and began mass production in April 2016. It currently has a workforce of over 1,300, with plans to reach 1,500 to 1,800. Powertech Semiconductor (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. has established a long-term strategic cooperative relationship with Micron Semiconductor, committed to providing customers with faster, high-quality, and comprehensive integrated circuit packaging supporting services.
