河北省沙河玻璃技术研究院由沙河市人民政府与武汉理工大学共同组,是一家集玻璃新材料、新技术、新品种研究与开发、技术推广与服务为一体的综合性科研机构。
研究院拥有一批先进的玻璃材料制备、性能测试、缺陷诊断与质量检测等仪器与设备，建设了特种浮法玻璃中试生产线、新型熔化技术实验台、玻璃深加工产品中试线，初步构筑了玻璃材料新品种及其关键技术研究的支撑体系。
