阜阳市第三人民医院始建于1970年，是一所以精神科、神经内科为特色，皖西北地区规模*大、设备先进、功能完善、医疗技术实力较雄厚、融医教研为一体的现代化专科医院。占地面积70000㎡，核定床位1070张，现有职工460人（其中高、中级职称近200人），年门诊量11万余人次，年收治病人12000余人次。新院区一幢建筑面积3.3万平米现代化综合病房大楼与老院区形成整体，软硬化建设已达到三级专科医院规模。其中，精神科一至九病区、老年精神科、精神科重症监护病区（PICU）、物质依赖科、临床心理科及焦虑障碍（神经症）病区为我院重点学科及优先发展学科，精神康复科、中西医结合病区、睡眠障碍病区、儿童青少年病区、心身医学科及早期干预科为特色发展学科。
