Guangzhou Dali Animation Co., Ltd. was established in 1999, formerly Guangzhou Dali Media Co., Ltd. & Guangzhou Dali Film and Television Culture Communication Co., Ltd. In 2005, the company transitioned from TV programs and TV drama production into the animation industry, aiming to lead the development of original Chinese animation and develop into a first-class large-scale animation cultural enterprise in China. Dali Animation currently possesses comprehensive operational capabilities including animation pre-production creative planning, production, distribution, brand licensing, and derivative product development and sales.
Since entering the animation industry in 2005, the company has created multiple original animated series including "The Wise Family" and "Super Formula", and has formed original animation brands centered on the "Divine Beast Hero" series with a science fiction and ancient Chinese mythology background, and the "Math Island Adventure" series with a science popularization and mathematical story background. In the future, the company will closely focus on the two major original animation brands "Divine Beast Hero" and "Math Island Adventure", continuously launching new episodes and feature films, and vigorously expanding brand licensing and the development and sales of peripheral derivative products.
During its rapid growth over the years, Dali Animation and its works have received numerous honors. In 2006, it was recognized by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television as a National Animation Industry Base; in 2008, it was recognized by Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone as the Guangzhou Development Zone Software and Animation Talent Training Base; in 2009, it was included in the "2009-2010 National Key Cultural Export Enterprise Directory" formulated by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and the General Administration of Press and Publication; in 2010, it successively passed the national animation enterprise certification and the Guangzhou key animation enterprise certification. The company is also the vice president unit of the Guangdong Film and Television Program Production Industry Association and the executive vice president unit of the Guangzhou Animation Industry Association. In 2010, "Math Island Adventure" was awarded the annual excellent domestic animated series by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television; in April 2015, the China Dream-themed animated series "Pink and Ink Baby", produced by Kunshan Hegu Digital, created and distributed by Dali Animation, won the Golden Monkey Award - the gold prize for series at the 11th International Animation Festival.
While completing original animation creation, Dali Animation also undertakes animation processing for domestic and overseas clients each year. Clients include "Apple Seed" animated movie version from Miscott & Basara Inc. of Japan, "BT" mobile media video from Singapore, high-definition animation "Dai Jiajia" from France, and high-definition multi-functional animation movie "Headhunters" from Malaysia. It is one of the few animation companies in China that can undertake full-service contract animation production covering script, storyboard, and character design in animation pre-production.
