Xinpianchang

Xinpianchang is a domestic internet film and entertainment group, whose business includes the distribution and production of web movies, the incubation and operation of internet video self-media/internet celebrities, the incubation and cultivation of new-generation film and television creators, as well as investments, productions in areas such as web dramas, web variety shows, theatrical films, VR, and artist management. At the same time, Xinpianchang jointly established a web movie investment fund with China Film Group Corporation.
Founded in 2012, Xinpianchang has completed four rounds of financing within just four years: angel round from Jiuhe Venture Capital, Series A from Alibaba, Series B from Sequoia Capital, and Series C from Tianxing Capital. In late 2015, it was listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), becoming China's new media film and television stock (stock code: 834630), with a market value exceeding RMB 1 billion. The company received the "2015 Investment Value Award" from Entrepreneur magazine, the Investment Value Award and Popularity Award at the 5th Beijing International Film Festival, the Special Contribution Award at the 2015 China Original Film and Television Conference and iQiyi Partner Ceremony, and the Influential Brand Award at the 2016 Asian New Media Film Festival.
Xinpianchang is a strategic partner of Sina Weibo and was one of the third-party partner institutions mentioned in Sina Weibo's 2016 semi-annual financial report. It is also an internet video self-media partner of Toutiao, Meipai, Miaopai, and Youku Tudou. Xinpianchang serves as an online registration platform for new media short films and college student original films at the Beijing International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, and the UK's Raindance Film Festival. "The Great Feng Shui Master" won the Production Award at the Asian New Media Film Festival, and "My Wife Is Underage 2" won the Producer Award at the China International Youth Film Exhibition. Under Xinpianchang's "Director Family" program, three directors—Han Ting, Cheng Hao (executive director of the film "Chronicle of the Demon Hunter"), and Jiang Jiachen—have been selected into the China Directors Association's Young Director Support Program, the "Green Onion Plan."
In the field of web movies, Xinpianchang has produced and distributed nearly a hundred web movies, with cumulative views exceeding 7.13 billion. Representative works include "My Wife Is Underage 2," "The Great Feng Shui Master," "Wrong Sex, Not Wrong Love," and "Zombies Are Coming 2." Among the Top 30 box office web movies in the first half of 2016, Xinpianchang ranked first in the industry in terms of production and distribution volume. In the field of internet video self-media/internet celebrities, Xinpianchang's partnered celebrities have a total of 45 million followers on Weibo and nearly 30 million followers on Meipai and Miaopai combined. Its two studios, "Scream Studio" and "Collection Studio," have become well-known brands with views exceeding 800 million. In the field of new-generation film and television creators, Xinpianchang has 300,000 registered creators, covering over 70% of new-generation film and television creators, and grows together with creators through the "New50" Producer Studio Plan and the "New Power" Young Director Support Plan.
