青海鸿鑫矿业有限公司（以下简称公司）成立于2007年4月10日，2012年通过股权收购方式进入中国铜业（中铝集团铜铅锌板块公司），公司注册资本为人民币叁亿柒仟叁佰伍拾捌万元零叁佰元（￥373，580，300.00元），云铜集团持有股份比例65%，云铜锌业所持有股份比例35%。公司牛苦头（一期）项目2015年11月开工建设，2017年9月建成投产，投产以来连续4年实现盈利。
公司办公、生活区位于格尔木市新区，牛苦头矿区（生产区）位于格尔木市乌图美仁乡，矿区面积22.89平方公里，矿区平均海拨约3780m，现已探明金属资源量超过110万吨，公司前景广阔、发展潜力巨大，是中国铜业西北资源基地的桥头堡。
