荣河中学地处山西省万荣县荣河镇南大街，距中华民族祖祠后土祠仅4公里，占地近百亩。学校创建于1952年，2004年经万荣县人民政府批准，改制为国有民办高中。改制以来，学校步入高速发展的快车道，学校现有教学班44个，学生2100余人，专职教师130余名，来自晋、陕、豫、川等各县市，欢迎有志于高中教育的优秀毕业生加盟。
