Xinjiang Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd. was established in February 2011 with an investment in Shihezi, Xinjiang, with a registered capital of 1.925 billion RMB. The company primarily engages in the production, processing, and sales of high-purity polysilicon. It was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on July 22, 2021, and is the first company in Xinjiang under the registration system to be listed on the STAR Market.
Since its inception, the company has closely adhered to the national strategic plan for new energy, leveraging continuous R&D investment and technological innovation, combined with advantages in low-cost energy and its location within the silicon industry cluster. The company adopts the mature and stable modified Siemens process with cold hydrogenation technology. Through years of technical research and industrial construction, it has achieved the production of high-purity polysilicon products with high quality, low energy consumption, and low cost using informatized and intelligent production equipment and a closed-loop operation process. The production process features high material utilization, low energy consumption, and environmental friendliness.
The company currently has nearly 2,500 employees and is recognized as a "National High-Tech Enterprise," "National Technology Innovation Demonstration Enterprise," "National Intelligent Photovoltaic Pilot Demonstration Unit," "National Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Unit," and "National Green Factory." It has established the "National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Photovoltaic Silicon Material Development Technology" and is compliant with the "Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry Standard Conditions."
Since 2011, the company has successively built six production plants, with a comprehensive polysilicon production capacity now reaching 105,000 tons per year. Over 99% of the total capacity can meet downstream monocrystalline silicon wafer demand, and product quality can fully replace imported monocrystalline silicon material. The company is a leading supplier of N-type monocrystalline silicon material.
In 2021, Xinjiang Daqo New Energy Co., Ltd. produced 87,000 tons of polysilicon, accounting for 18% of China's domestic polysilicon output. In 2021, the company achieved operating revenue of 10.8 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 132%, and net profit increased by 448% compared to 2020.
