Cao Cao Mobility was founded on May 21, 2015, as a strategic investment business of Geely Holding Group in the layout of the "new energy vehicle sharing ecosystem". With the mission and vision of "reshaping green shared mobility through technology", it innovatively applies advanced Internet, Internet of Vehicles, autonomous driving technology, and new energy technology to the shared mobility sector.
Currently, Cao Cao Mobility operates businesses including ride-hailing, taxi, and carpooling, and is the first low-carbon mobility brand in China to adopt new energy vehicles and establish personal/corporate voluntary carbon emission reduction points accounts for users.

On January 17, 2018, Cao Cao Mobility announced the completion of its Series A financing of 1 billion RMB, with a post-investment valuation exceeding 10 billion RMB, successfully entering the ranks of "unicorn" enterprises and ranking among the top three newly added "unicorn" enterprises globally in 2018.
On September 6, 2021, Cao Cao Mobility announced the completion of its Series B financing of 3.8 billion RMB, which was the first domestic equity investment received by a ride-hailing company in 2021.
