该项目总用地面积约为200亩，计划兴建500床的二级综合性医院、二级康复中心约200~299床、综合护理院100床。

项目选址初步定于天元区株洲大道旁万丰湖西北角，属长株谭城市群中心区域，距离株洲市、湘潭市中心城区车程均在10分钟以内，距离长沙城区30分钟车程，距离省人民医院仅有40分钟车程，对于及时转诊患者非常有利。

预计项目首期建设期为4年，其中建设工期为3年。建成后，预计可同时为3000名群众提供医疗、护理、康复理疗等健康设施和服务。（记者杜方江通讯员梁辉）
