Chongqing Donggang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. was jointly invested and established by Chongqing Shipbuilding Industry Company, Chongqing Donggang Industrial Park Construction and Development Company, and Chuandong Shipyard, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan. The company integrates and owns all productive assets of the former State-owned Chongqing Shipyard.
The company is located in Donggang Industrial Park, Chongqing, on the bank of Mingyuetuo in Guangyang Town, Nan'an District, with a superior geographical location and convenient water and land transportation. It faces the Yangtze River golden waterway to the north and backs onto Mingyue Mountain to the south. It is 1 km from the entrance/exit of the Chongqing Second Ring Expressway. The Second Ring Expressway Yuzui Yangtze River Bridge and the soon-to-be-constructed Binjiang Avenue intersect near the company. The Yangtze River shoreline within the area is about 2 km long. Mingyuetuo is about 1 km long and 1 km wide, with a riverbank water depth of about 30 m. After the Three Gorges Reservoir Area stores water to an elevation of 175 m, a large deep-water port can be formed.
The company's predecessor, the State-owned Chongqing Shipyard, was a shipyard directly under China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, a large backbone enterprise in China's machinery industry, and the * surface warship final assembly plant in Southwest China. It provided more than 30 combat ships and military auxiliary ships for the construction and development of China's navy. Its export ships have been recognized by China's ZC, Japan's NK, France's BV, and the United States' ABS classification societies, and it has passed product quality assurance system and ISO9000 series international quality system certifications. It has successively built and repaired more than 2,000 various civil ships for domestic and foreign customers.
The company has the ability to design, manufacture, and repair various ships below 5,000 tons and to manufacture various steel structures. It covers an area of more than 920,000 m2, with a building area of more than 200,000 m2, including 3 factory buildings of more than 5,000 m2 and 12 factory buildings of more than 2,000 m2. Its fixed assets are 115.15 million yuan, and it has more than 1,200 sets of various production and processing equipment. The company has four 15×128 m indoor slipways and three outdoor slipways. In recent years, the steel structures of the Chongqing Egongyan Yangtze River Bridge, Caiyuanba Yangtze River Bridge, and Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge have been successively manufactured and assembled at our company's slipways. The domestically advanced air cushion ship transfer turntable and mechanical longitudinal launching slipway can ensure the launching and docking of large and small ships throughout the year and facilitate the transportation of large steel structures.
