Shenzhen Institute of Technology (Shenzhen Senior Technical School)

Shenzhen Institute of Technology is a full-time higher technical college fully funded by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, and a national key technical college directly under the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, dedicated to cultivating highly skilled talents. After nearly three decades of development, the Institute has become a national demonstration base for cultivating highly skilled talents, and its educational quality and level rank among the top technical colleges in China. In 2006, it was awarded the "National Award for Outstanding Contribution to Skilled Talent Cultivation" by the State Council; in 2007, it was approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as a national backbone teacher training base; in 2008, it was approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as one of the first batch of "National Demonstration Bases for Cultivating Highly Skilled Talents." The Institute passed the review by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance and was approved as a project school for a central government-supported vocational education training base; in 2009, it was rated by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as one of the first batch of "National Technical College Teacher Training Bases." The Institute also passed the re-evaluation of Guangdong Provincial Technician College and became one of the first five technician colleges in the province approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government. In 2010, the Institute was rated as a "National Advanced Unit in Moral Education" by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Collective in Vocational and Technical Education of Guangdong Province" by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government. In 2014, the Institute was approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as a Chinese training base for the 43rd WorldSkills Competition.
