怀化湖天中西医结合医院是2012年底经过怀化市卫生行政主管部门批准的一所综合性医院。医院坚持立院为民、诚信为本、服务至上的宗旨，为患者营造良好的诊疗环境，门诊科室布局合理，环境幽雅，病房宽敞、明亮，配有中央空调、中心供氧、中心吸引和中央呼叫等系统。并引进先进服务理念，同时建立了一套与国际接轨的现代服务模式，逐步实施市区内免费接送病人，院内全程导诊，陪诊和空腹检查患者提供免费早餐等人性化服务举措。我院医疗用房近一万平米，床位编制150张，设置临床科室10余个，其中病房和门诊有：骨科、内科、妇科、外科、老年病、中医科、口腔科、康复中心、体检中心、急诊科。医院拥有大型医疗设备ct、c臂、彩色b超，dr、全自动生化分析仪、层流手术室、标准化供应室等。
