Beidou Technology Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Group") was established on July 20, 2016, with a registered capital of 1 billion RMB. It is located in Zone B of the Industrial Park in Shapingba District, Chongqing. Responding to the national call to promote in-depth development of military-civilian integration, the Group is committed to the research, development, and application of Beidou civil technology industrialization. It holds a leading position in the design, R&D, production, and testing of Beidou civil products, mainly researching the service models of "Beidou+" emerging business formats to form a "software + hardware" industrial cluster.
The Group has subsidiary group companies—Beidou Qixing Communication Group, Beidou Ground Network Technology Group, Beidou Industry Group, and Beidou IoT Technology Co., Ltd.—and relies on the Beidou Civil-Military Integration Strategic Emerging Industry Research Institute, Beidou Industrial Technology Research Institute, Beidou Industrial Design Research Institute, and Beidou Intelligent Testing Center as technical support platforms, fully entering the artificial intelligence manufacturing industry.
The Group has obtained review and authorization from experts of institutions such as the Beijing Satellite Navigation Center, the General Staff Satellite Navigation and Positioning Station, and the Beidou Open Laboratory Office. It has completed the preparation of an expert academician workstation led by Academician Tan Shusen, deputy chief designer of the Beidou system, and the Beidou (Chongqing) Open Laboratory. It is currently applying to establish a Beidou navigation civil service-level platform and a Beidou National Key Laboratory. It has hired Tan Shusen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the Honorary Dean and Chief Consulting Scientist of the Group's subordinate Beidou Civil-Military Integration Strategic Emerging Industry Research Institute. The Beidou Intelligent Terminal Testing Center built by the Group has 7 environmental reliability laboratories and 59 testing and measurement equipment. After completion, the testing center will provide one-stop solutions for satellite navigation product R&D verification and testing.
The Group has a high-quality R&D team with a reasonable educational structure, rich industry experience, and extensive project experience. To further enhance the Group's R&D level, in January 2017, the Group's subordinate Beidou Civil-Military Integration Strategic Emerging Industry Research Institute signed a framework agreement with Chongqing University to jointly build the Chongqing University Beidou College, co-running the Beidou College with Chongqing University to cultivate master's degree and above professionals for Beidou civil technology product R&D, thereby also introducing a group of highly educated university research talents with senior professional titles to the Group as strong support for its R&D team.
The Group has formed a "5+1" project development model, namely "Beidou Telematics, Beidou Ground Network, Beidou Map, Beidou IoT, Beidou Chip" + "Beidou Industry Applications".
The Group has built and planned a Beidou Industrial Park, divided into Phase I Startup Park and Phase II Industrial Park. The Phase I Startup Park is located in Zone B of the Industrial Park in Shapingba District, University City, with a construction land area of 34 mu. It has been completed and includes 3 functional zones. Workshops No. 2, 3, and 4 are standard electronic workshops, and Workshop No. 1 is a product exhibition and experience area. There are also office buildings, employee dormitories, and other related supporting facilities. The workshops are mainly used for R&D and supporting production of civil products, electronic products, and baseband chips based on Beidou technology.
The Phase II Industrial Park planning area is located in the startup area of Zone C (Qingfeng Cluster) of the Shapingba Industrial Park in Chongqing Western New City, with a total planned land area of approximately 1,155 mu. After the Beidou Industrial Park is fully completed, it will become the largest Beidou civil industry base in Southwest China, with capabilities ranging from product design, R&D, production to testing, as well as Beidou technology talent training and reserve.
