据悉，县卫计委已形成初步方案，进入初步设计阶段。项目地址地面上建筑的校舍拆除工作、地质勘探工作已经进入扫尾阶段。目前，已完成现场勘探工作，正在进行地质分析，确保本月底完成报告及地质勘探报告审查。
县运西人民医院新建项目建设期限为2016年～2018年，总投资8738万元，资金来源为向上争取中央预算内投资及地方配套资金。经县规划委员会确定，项目建设地址为安宜镇中港路200号宝应县中港职业高级中学地块，规划建设用地32797.2平方米（49.2亩）,建设急诊、门诊、住院、医技、保障、行政管理和院内生活用房，建筑面积19980平方米。
