What is sensory integration:
The human brain coordinates, integrates and processes the sensory information obtained and transmitted by various sensory organs of the body (vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch, vestibular sense, proprioception and visceral sense, etc.), and produces corresponding records and outputs. This process is called sensory integration, abbreviated as SI.
Human beings are born with the ability to acquire, transmit, compare, interpret, enhance, inhibit, associate and integrate sensory information in the environment and time-space, input it into the brain for processing, and make adaptive responses. If any link in the process covered by this ability has problems, the body cannot operate effectively and harmoniously, resulting in disorder (or dysfunction), known as sensory integration dysfunction.

The impact of sensory integration dysfunction on people (children):
The brain's cognitive activities, such as attention, organization, logic, control, coordination, perception, judgment, etc., will be affected to varying degrees; it reduces the body's ability to complete movements, coordination, sports, skills, techniques, posture, endurance, balance, etc.; it also greatly interferes with self-confidence, interpersonal communication, emotional management, self-restraint, rationality and objectivity, etc. This in turn causes many undesirable problems in life, learning, cognition, emotion, thinking patterns, social relationships, etc. Therefore, sensory integration is a tool for human beings to understand the world and the foundation of all abilities.

The current situation of sensory integration in our country:
According to statistics, among children in our country, the proportion of varying degrees of sensory integration dysfunction is about 30-40%. For these children with sensory integration dysfunction, manifestations such as inattention, clumsy and uncoordinated movements, slowness in doing things, procrastination in homework, lack of self-confidence, restlessness in class, inability to remember in class, slow reading and writing, easy tantrums, poor emotional control, poor language ability, etc., our parents and teachers generally used to think that the child's attitude was the problem, that the child was not serious enough, deliberately disobedient, deliberately mischievous, or even thought it was genetic. Then they adopted stricter discipline methods for these children, even harsh blame and beating, etc. These children live in a misunderstood state. They are not only innocent and pitiful, but also cannot get good correction and education. This has caused serious harm to children's growth and, to a certain extent, many family and social problems.
In a broad sense, sensory integration is an ability that everyone must train. All children before the age of 12, especially before the age of 6, should undergo systematic sensory integration training. For those with deficiencies, it plays a remedial role; for those who are good, it plays an excellent role. Good or excellent sensory integration ability can effectively improve children's comprehensive strength and play a crucial role in coping with competition in future life, study and work.

The curriculum of Yunnan Sensory Integration Education is set through:
