Nanchang Contemporary Art School was established in 2001 with the approval of the Nanchang Municipal Education Bureau. It is a full-time high school specializing in fine arts, founded by Luo Huigang, a famous art educator and painter in Jiangxi Province and a senior professor at Jiangxi Normal University. The school enrolls junior high school graduates, offering the national high school cultural curriculum and basic fine arts courses (sketching, coloring, quick sketching, and creation).
