学校于1992年经昆明市五华区教育局正式批准成立，学校特聘昆明市区优秀骨干老师授课。成立22年来，得到上级教育主管部门的大力支持和真诚帮助，并多次受到区市教育主管部门的表彰。坚持“一切为了孩子，为了孩子的一切”的服务宗旨，以“成就每个孩子的梦想”为目标，延承师大附中的教育理念，主动承担起社会责任，整合社会优质教学资源，成为师大附中教育工作的延伸。
