中物联规划设计研究院有限公司的前身是广西商业建筑设计院，成立于1986年，原来为广西商业厅下属的设计院。设计院成立以来，一直遵守国家政策、法规情况，合法经营，没有过不良记录。根据《广西壮族自治区商务厅》桂商改函[2010]17号文，将原广西商业建筑设计院改制为中物联规划设计研究院有限公司。2010年5月10日经广西壮族自治区工商管理局审查批准更名为中物联规划设计研究院有限公司，并发给了营业执照，营业期限至2039年6月5日，注册资金1000万元，具有建筑工程设计甲级，市政工程设计乙级、城市规划设计乙级资质。
