宣威市皂卫矿业有限责任公司皂卫煤矿属30万t/a机械化改造升级类正常生产矿井；皂卫煤矿位于宣威市城区32°方向，直距约55km处，行政区划隶属宣威市双河乡皂卫村委会管辖,属私营企业。地理坐标：东经：10421′40″～10423′29″，北纬：2637′04″～2638′57″。矿区范围共17个拐点坐标：东西宽约3km、南北长约3.5km、开采深度+1960至+1300m；现开采水平为+1375水平，矿井可采煤层为K2、K5，现开采煤层为K5煤层，煤层厚度1.4-1.7m,平均厚度1.45m，在矿区范围内全区可采。经鉴定K2、K5煤层自燃倾向性为Ⅲ类不易自燃，煤尘具有爆炸性；水文地质为中等类型；矿井可采储量为1062.17万吨，属低瓦斯矿井。
