世界宣明会于1950年成立，积极回应世界各地贫穷人的需要，目前在全球96个国家或地区工作，服务超过1亿人，是其中一间*具规模的国际救援及发展机 构。宣明会以儿童为工作的核心，结合资助儿童计划及社区综合发展模式，协助贫穷人摆脱贫穷，达致自力更生及持续发展。宣明会自1982年参与中国青海水灾 救援工作以来﹐目前，宣明会在中国18个省、市、自治区推行救灾及扶贫发展项目。
