Wuhan Zhongde Psychological Hospital

Wuhan Sino-German Psychological Hospital was founded in June 1988. The founders were six Chinese psychiatrists and two German psychiatric rehabilitation experts—Mr. Heinz Klett and his wife Rosa Klett (deceased). Over the past nearly 18 years, our hospital has received strong support from the German government and non-governmental organizations; German funding and material donations totaled 12 million RMB, and Chinese government investment reached nearly 8 million RMB. This laid a solid material foundation for the development of our hospital. In addition to funding and material investment, the German side also long dispatched professionals to work in our hospital. These professionals included experts in psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, occupational and recreational therapy, nursing, and other fields. The longest period of work among them was 13 years, and psychologist Mr. Rainer Nato worked continuously for six years, making outstanding contributions to the standardization and professionalization of psychological counseling and psychological diagnostic treatment at our hospital. Since the late 1980s, our hospital has provided psychological counseling services and was one of the earliest professional institutions engaged in this business in China. Through nearly 20 years of accumulation, we have gradually formed an experienced and well-trained professional team and enjoy a high reputation both domestically and internationally. Moreover, the people-oriented medical philosophy consistently implemented from the beginning has won us the love and respect of patients and their families. Our hospital currently has 16 full-time psychological counselors, psychological diagnostic therapists, and psychiatrists. They have all received the best professional training in China and have participated in the psychoanalysis training classes held by the International Psychoanalytical Association in Beijing, as well as the continuous advanced training programs for psychological diagnostic therapists held in China by the Sino-German Psychological Diagnostic and Treatment Institute. By the proportion of professionals who have participated in such advanced training, we rank first in the country.
