(hereinafter referred to as "Essence Securities" or "the Company") was established on August 22, 2006, and successively acquired the securities assets of the former Guangdong Securities, China Science & Technology Securities, and Zhongguancun Securities through market-oriented methods in September and December 2006. The Company's shareholders are SDIC Capital Co., Ltd. (600061.SH) and Shanghai Yisheng Investment Co., Ltd., under the umbrella of State Development & Investment Corp., Ltd., holding 99.9969% and 0.0031% respectively, with a registered capital of RMB 10 billion. The Company is now a full-license comprehensive securities firm, with multiple business rankings among the top in the country.

The Company's headquarters is located in Shenzhen, with 50 branches established in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shantou, Foshan, and other places, and 320 securities business departments across 29 provincial-level administrative regions. The Company wholly owns Essence International Financial Holdings Limited, SDIC Essence Futures Co., Ltd., Essence Qianhong Investment Co., Ltd., Essence Securities Investment Co., Ltd., Essence Securities Asset Management Co., Ltd., and Essence (Shenzhen) Commercial Services Co., Ltd., and holds stakes in Essence Fund Management Co., Ltd., among others.
