安徽宣城金宏化工有限公司是上海百金化工集团有限公司全资控股的子公司。上海百金集团是国内二硫化碳行业的龙头企业，是中国无机盐协会二硫化碳分会会长单位。2015年7月，在各级政府部门和社会各界人士的大力支持下，公司完成了年产5万吨二硫化碳技改项目建设，并投产运行。公司固定资产投资达2.3亿元，现有员工160人，其中，大专以上文化程度专业技术人员35人。为进一步加快公司技术创新发展，公司于2016年初，和安徽师范大学达成战略合作协议，共同推进产学研工作。目前，公司已通过市级技术中心认定及质量、环境和职业健康三大体系认证。2016年10月，公司获得高新技术企业称号。
