福田汽车集团与德国采埃孚股份公司强强联合，于2017年4月18日在嘉兴成立了2家中德合资企业，为福田采埃孚轻型自动变速箱（嘉兴） 有限公司及采埃孚福田自动变速箱（嘉兴）有限公司。公司位于公司位于嘉兴经济技术开发区（国际商务区）“先进制造业产业基地”的功能区内，东临长云路，西临长帆路，南临桐乡大道。
采埃孚福田主要生产重型商用车变速箱，形成重型商用车变速箱组装、功能测试、工程匹配应用和试验等综合能力。公司分二期建设，一期将于2019年1月1日正式投产，形成11.5万台/年自动变速箱和2万台/年缓速器产能，二期于2022年1月1日建成投产，形成19万台/年重型变速箱和4万台/年缓速器产能。
