防城港市生活垃圾焚烧发电项目二期工程于2020年7月21日取得项目核准批复，建设规模为日处理垃圾500吨，配置1条500吨日炉排炉，配套1台12抽凝汽式汽轮发电机组，配套15万立方米库容飞灰填埋场及3万立方米库容应急垃圾堆放场。项目估算总投资为2.96亿元。
