泰康人寿保险股份有限公司系1996年8月22日经中国人民银行总行批准成立的全国性、股份制人寿保险公司，公司总部设在北京。2000年11月，泰康人寿全面完成经国务院同意、保监会批准的外资募股工作。 目前，泰康人寿共有20家股东，其中中资股东包括中国外运长航集团有限公司、中国嘉德国际拍卖有限公司、中国交通建设股份有限公司、中信华东（集团）有限公司等国内大中型企业。外资股东包括瑞士丰泰人寿保险公司、新政泰达投资有限公司和日本软库银行集团等*国际金融企业。
