Wanpulong was founded in Beijing in 2009 by Pan Jun, a entrepreneurial talent of the Zhongguancun High-tech Enterprise Program, and is a dual high-tech enterprise recognized both nationally and by Zhongguancun. It mainly engages in the manufacturing of hardware and software such as shale gas and coalbed methane drainage equipment, intelligent gathering and transportation control equipment, digital production management and operation platforms, and intelligent rodless lifting systems. It uses big data analysis to customize intelligent drainage processes for unconventional gas wells, and belongs to one of Chongqing's ten major strategic emerging industries. Through comprehensive diagnosis and analysis of links such as 'geology, engineering, and drainage', it customizes comprehensive solutions of 'one well, one policy' from an 'integrated' perspective. Its horizontal well extraction technology, intelligent drainage technology, and drainage software development capabilities rank among the top nationwide. Since its establishment, Wanpulong has led or participated in five major high-yield base demonstration projects across the country, helping over a thousand wells increase gas production, and has gained recognition from the 'three major oil and gas' companies and other oilfield service companies in the industry. In 2017, it entered Chongqing through investment promotion and established Chongqing Wanpulong Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Shapingba District, and is currently building its own industrial park in Shapingba District. In 2018, Wanpulong invested in the establishment of the Chongqing Unconventional Oil and Gas Research Institute, jointly built with research institutes of the three major domestic oil companies, domestic petroleum universities, internationally renowned oilfield service enterprises, and foreign unconventional oil and gas research institutions. It gathers academicians and renowned experts and professors in oil and gas engineering technology, and is mainly engaged in research on exploration and development process technologies for unconventional oil and gas resources, complete equipment and system development, and the large-scale promotion, application, and transformation of indoor research results to on-site applications, solving the 'last mile' problem in the transformation of oil and gas scientific and technological achievements.
