Company Profile: China Xinxing Baoxin Construction Corporation was founded in 1950, originally as the Engineering Brigade of the General Staff Administration Bureau (formerly subordinate to the General Staff Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army). On December 12, 1987, it was renamed the Directly Affiliated Construction Engineering Office of the General Staff Administration Bureau. On August 31, 1995, it was renamed Beijing Baoxin Construction Engineering Corps. In December 1998, in accordance with the Central Government's decision that the military, armed police forces, and political and legal organs should no longer engage in for-profit production activities, it was separated from the military and integrated into China Xinxing (Group) Corporation as a whole. In February 2000, it was officially renamed "China Xinxing Baoxin Construction Corporation" upon approval by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce. In October 2009, upon approval by the State Council, China Xinxing (Group) Corporation was merged into China General Technology (Group) Holding Corporation, and China Xinxing Baoxin Construction Corporation was accordingly merged into it, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary. Currently, it is a national first-class general contracting enterprise for housing construction engineering (it has now successfully applied for the special-grade qualification, currently awaiting the issuance of the certificate), and possesses first-class qualifications for general contracting of mechanical and electrical installation engineering, professional contracting of building decoration and renovation engineering, professional contracting of steel structure engineering, professional contracting of anticorrosion and thermal insulation engineering, first-class qualifications for foundation and foundation engineering, and first-class qualifications for earthwork construction. The company has established over 10 civil engineering branches, as well as professional branches for decoration, material and equipment leasing, and foundation works, and has successively set up construction management institutions in other regions such as Shandong, Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Chongqing, Sichuan, Henan, and Hebei. The registered capital of the enterprise is 361.88 million yuan, with 136 units of various mechanical equipment. The company currently has 1,594 employees, 686 personnel with various engineering technical titles, and 229 registered constructors. Xinxing Baoxin passed the ISO9002 international quality system certification and UKAS international standard certification in 1998. In November 2001, it passed ISO14001 environmental management system certification and OHS18001 occupational safety management system certification.
