湖北三峡神农生物科技有限公司于2012年8月组建设立，注册资本300万元。计划总投资5000万元建设5000亩珍稀药用植物育苗，种植示范、科研基地。目前已投资3000万元与南京林业大学合作建设宜都市红花套镇渔洋溪降血糖药用植物青钱柳基地1500亩、宜都市高坝洲镇白鸭垴治疗糖尿病黄连、青钱柳、麦冬、铁皮石斛等基地2000亩及利川市种植黄连基地500亩。
主要从事珍稀药用植物育苗、种植、深加工研究、降血糖、抗肿瘤产品开发，即：精选优良药用种源；模拟原生态自然生长环境；工厂化播种、育苗、定植管理；全程无人值守智能综合监管系统；动态检测有效药用成分，选择***采摘时间；科学筛选优化药效***复合组方，采用中药低温细胞破壁顶尖技术及装备。
