嘉元堂，位于苏州市控保单位「状元第」。在保护修缮古建筑的基础上，致力于园林雅文化的恢復及艺术与学术的结合，并对传统雅生活进行当代探索与研究。「元园雅集」以"雅集园林"作为艺术策展的历史缐索，重新思考当代艺术展示与创作模式。激活文人文化的历史资源，打开长久以来西方主导下以博物馆、美术馆为核心的艺术呈现方式。「嘉元讲堂」着眼于国际新思潮与中土的交流，举办不定期的中外学者讲座，为学术思想提供交流平臺。
