Bracco China

The Bracco Group, headquartered in Milan, was founded in 1927 and includes Bracco Imaging (diagnostic imaging), the pharmaceutical company (prescription and over-the-counter drugs), ACIST Medical Systems (medical devices and high-end contrast agent injection systems), and an Italian outpatient center specializing in clinical diagnostics. To date, Bracco operates in more than 100 markets globally, with over 3,300 employees and annual revenues exceeding €1.1 billion, of which approximately 75% comes from overseas markets. The company invests nearly 10% of its net sales annually in research and development (diagnostic imaging and medical devices) and holds more than 1,800 patents.
Bracco entered China as early as 1988 and has achieved long-term stable development. In 2000, it established its first office in Beijing. In 2001, Shanghai Bracco Sine Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established (Bracco holds 70%, Shanghai Sine Pharmaceutical holds 30%). Bracco Sine built a factory in Shanghai in 2002 and passed the GMP certification of the National Medical Products Administration in 2003. Since then, Bracco Sine has formally formed a comprehensive framework covering production, commercial operations, and medical support.
Shanghai Bracco Sine Pharmaceutical has more than 300 employees nationwide, of which over half are in sales positions. The business departments are divided into the radiology team and the ultrasound team.
