SAMO (Chongqing) Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chongqing SAMO"), founded in January 2017 with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, is a manufacturing enterprise mainly engaged in the production of orthopedic artificial joint implant products. As a controlling subsidiary of "Beijing Feidu Medical Equipment Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Beijing Feidu"), Chongqing SAMO is committed to becoming a leading enterprise in the high-end manufacturing field of China's orthopedic industry.
Beijing Feidu Group has over fifteen years of development history in the orthopedic industry, with its business scope covering three major orthopedic fields: artificial joints, spine, and limb extremities. It is a group company integrating production, research and development, and sales. In 2014, Beijing Feidu officially completed the acquisition of the Italian company SAMO, becoming one of only two companies in China that have acquired a world-leading artificial joint manufacturer. The Italian company SAMO is an artificial joint manufacturing enterprise with more than 40 years of development history, possessing multiple international-level patented technologies, with its market covering more than 30 countries worldwide, and its product quality has been widely recognized by the international market. Through this acquisition, the group completed the integration of the Italian company's research and development, production system, and product lines, enhancing its competitiveness in artificial joints. To further promote the group's strategic layout and effectively narrow the gap between domestic enterprises and international companies in the field of artificial joints, the group officially invested in and established a domestic artificial joint production and manufacturing base.
In November 2015, Beijing Feidu Group reached a strategic project cooperation with Chongqing Banan Economic Park, and the group's artificial joint production base was confirmed to be located in Chongqing. Chongqing SAMO Company, as the carrier of this production base, has its factory located in Jieshi Town, Banan District, Chongqing, covering an area of approximately 30 mu, with a building area of approximately 20,000 square meters. The factory will fully introduce the production line of the Italian company SAMO, equipped with industry-leading artificial intelligence robots and automated CNC machine tools, while integrating the Italian company's more than twenty years of production and manufacturing experience to create a high-end production base in line with international production and manufacturing standards. The factory is expected to officially commence production in the *** quarter of 2018. After production begins, the annual output value will reach 50,000 sets of artificial joint prostheses, with an output value exceeding 100 million yuan, achieving global product supply.
