Dahengqin Investment

On August 14, 2009, the State Council officially approved the implementation of the "Overall Development Plan for Hengqin". On December 16, 2009, Hengqin New Area was officially established. On December 31, 2014, the State Council officially approved the establishment of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, covering Zhuhai Hengqin. On April 23, 2015, the Zhuhai Hengqin New Area section of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone was officially established. Zhuhai Dahengqin Group Co., Ltd. was established in April 2009 and is the development and operation company under the "two-level organization, one-stop service" management model explicitly proposed in the "Overall Development Plan for Hengqin" approved by the State Council. The company is mainly responsible for infrastructure development, investment promotion, property management, project management, consulting services, industrial development, venture capital, and other businesses in Hengqin New Area, serving as the investment, construction, and management institution of the new area. Dahengqin Company shoulders the responsibility for urban infrastructure, municipal public utilities, project investment, and resource development in Hengqin New Area: it manages key provincial, municipal, and district projects including the municipal infrastructure (BT) projects, comprehensive development projects, Hengqin Port and comprehensive transportation hub project, Hengqin Tunnel, Hengqin International Science and Technology Innovation Center, Hengqin Science City, and Hengqin International Business Center, with cumulative construction investment totaling over 260 billion yuan. It has 10 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 4 holding companies, 6 participating companies, and 23 third- and fourth-tier member enterprises, forming seven business segments: infrastructure construction and primary land development, commercial real estate and industrial real estate, port development, smart city, public resources, leisure tourism, and cultural creativity. It has grown into a "comprehensive urban operator" deeply rooted in Hengqin.
