Baiman Culture Communication Co., Ltd. was established in January 2016, focusing on the incubation and integrated operation of online animation IPs, with a professional team covering all aspects of original animation content production. In 2019, it received tens of millions of yuan in Series A investment from Tencent, and in August 2020, Tencent made an additional investment to acquire a majority stake in Baiman. After the completion of this round of acquisition, Baiman officially became a controlling subsidiary of Tencent. At the same time, with Tencent's support, Baiman has integrated high-quality partners in games, film and television, and other fields, further promoting animation IPs into all-round pan-entertainment large IP content output. Currently, it owns multiple S-level original comic IPs, among which the animation "Westward Journey" is exclusively broadcast on Tencent Video, exceeding 100 million views within 8 days of its release.
