The 48th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation is a central scientific research institution stationed in Hunan. Founded in 1964, it currently has more than 1,000 employees, including 26 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 33 researcher-level senior engineers, and 191 senior engineers, and has a postdoctoral research workstation. The 48th Institute is a core backbone scientific research and production institution in China mainly focusing on technologies such as microelectronics equipment, thermal equipment, and special sensors and measurement and control systems. It has scientific research platforms such as the Science and Technology Industry Active Layer Optimization Growth Technology Innovation Center, the National Photovoltaic Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center, the China-Egypt Renewable Energy Joint Laboratory, the China-Egypt Renewable Energy "Belt and Road" Joint Laboratory, the National Third-Generation Semiconductor Innovation Center (Hunan), the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Thin Film Sensing Technology, the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of High-Performance Intelligent Sensors and Detection Systems, and the Hunan Provincial Integrated Circuit Equipment Innovation Center. It has mastered a number of equipment common technologies and product key technologies, broken through the technical blockade of developed countries, and by using independently controllable core technologies, the equipment and products developed and manufactured are widely used in key fields such as electronic information, aerospace, aviation, and shipbuilding, strongly supporting and promoting the independently controllable development of the electronic information industry.
