滨州市特种设备检验研究所始建于1984年，是滨州市质量技术监督局所属事业单位。主要承担特种设备（指锅炉、压力容器（含气瓶）、压力管道、电梯、起重机械、厂内机动车、大型游乐设施）的监督检验、定期检验; 特种设备作业人员和管理人员考核；安全阀校验等工作。参与特种设备事故调查与分析；开展特种设备技术咨询服务和科研活动。
滨州市特检所先后被市质监系统授予“科技兴检先进集体”、“党风廉政行风建设先进单位”、“年度考核先进单位”、“标准化建设基层党组织”，被滨州团市委授予“青年文明号”、被工业与信息化部授予“国家中小企业公共服务示范平台”、被山东省精神文明建设委员会授予“省级文明单位”、被滨州市安全生产委员会授予“2016年度全市安全生产工作先进单位”。
