BDO项目隶属于BDO-醋酸一体化项目。2012年2月22日，中国石化集团四川维尼纶厂（川维）、韩国SK综合化学株式会社（SK综合化学）和英国BP化工投资有限公司（BP化工）在重庆举行了BDO（即1,4-丁二醇）和醋酸一体化项目谅解备忘录签字仪式。三方将联手在渝打造这一*天然气化工项目。
市长黄奇帆、副市长童小平，中国石化集团总经理王天普，韩国SK集团会长崔泰源，英国BP全球石化首席执行官尼克•埃尔姆斯利出席签字仪式。
该一体化项目拟选址重庆长寿经济技术开发区，项目年新增天然气消耗约4.4亿立方米，总投资约70亿元，建成投产后可实现利税总额约20亿元，项目计划于2014年底至2015年初分期建成。目前已完成项目可研报告编制工作，并上交待审批。
一体化项目充分依托川维厂和重庆长寿经济技术开发区公用工程配套和储运设施，利用川维厂天然气制乙炔核心技术,SK集团的BDO技术运营经验和BP化工集团*新的醋酸生产技术，建成*规模的BDO和醋酸生产装置。
