公司董事长汪立宏教授是美国工程院院士，世界光声成像技术的开拓者。武汉和视光声的PACT已经实现了完整、高质量的人体内乳腺肿瘤和小动物全身的活体成像。PACT结合了纯光学组织成像中高选择特性和纯超声组织成像中深穿透特性的优点，可得到高分辨率、高对比度的深层组织图像。对血管成像PACT不使用金属造影剂就能实现比MRI高很多的空间分辨率；对乳腺肿瘤检查，PACT不用担心钼靶检查时的X射线的致癌作用，也无需造影剂配合（MRI需要）；PACT亦适合高密度乳房(钼靶检查有困难)。
光声成像是生物医学光学中发展*快的技术。在国际光学工程学会（SPIE）2万人参加的西部光电展会上，汪立宏教授主持了号称自2010以来*大的年会。
