烟台毓璜顶医院始建于1890年，其前身是美国长老会创办的教会医院。经过120多年的变迁，现已发展成为烟台市*大的综合性医疗保健中心、三级甲等综合医院、山东省区域医疗中心、同时也是青岛大学附属医院，山东大学、青岛大学、大连医科大学、滨州医学院、潍坊医学院等高等院校研究生培养基地。在香港艾力彼医院管理研究中心每年发布的全国医院排行榜中，医院连续6年位居全国地级城市医院竞争力排名前十位，2017年排名第四。
